The YEI Mission Statement
Youth Emporium is a 501(c)3 organization based in Metro Atlanta (Douglasville) GA, that provides an after school learning experience for youth ages 14 to 21. The approach supports student academic deficiencies through a natural alignment with the critical components being taught in the traditional school environment. It includes not only engaging activities that are not simply an extension of school, but addresses a student’s higher order thinking skills. Youth Emporium incorporates civic and community engaged project-based activities into its educational, leadership, occupational, personal and social life relationship service components. The mission of Youth Emporium is to promote learning, develop stronger communication, collaboration, creative and critical thinking skills. We engage our youth through real life experiences that address cultural, humanitarian, environmental, and technological themes. Through our approach and the Youth Emporium Society Clubs, participants expand their skill levels, develop leadership qualities, have meaningful exchanges with their peers, and broaden their global awareness of varied topics.
